Stylish Statement: Wrapped In Wool

I love coats…wool, fur, leather, satin, vintage or new. Coats can command attention, complete an outfit or make a stylish statement amongst the ordinary. On the Runway coats are always extravagant and used to accessorize or accent attire rather than just serve a purpose…warmth. To accent & accessorize with a coat is a definite possibilty if keeping the rest of your outfit simple.

Remember: Stylish is simple. When choosing a coat to be the accent piece base your choice to compliment the overall outfit.  Example Outfit: Charcoal tulip skirt, black swing top with white tee underneath, black tights & black patent ankle boots….Coat: Red or Yellow Peacoat. A coat of either red or yellow will compliment the combination of charcoal & black whilst giving you a pop of color against a typically drab outfit.

Stylists recommend investing in a Classic Coat.  I advise a Classic Black Wool as featured in my post: Stylish Statement: Classic Black Coat.  This is the “go-to” coat. Its classic, wearable, functional & always fashionable. Classic coats take away the guess work and  always allow for success in the closet.
